Pinellas Park 10 Yr. Olds Win District 5 Championship

The Pinellas Park 10 & Under All-Star  Team won the District 5 Championship by defeating Northwest in the Final Round.   Pinellas Park will travel to Cantonment, FL  in June  to compete in the Dizzy Dean State Championships.  (Click the photo for a better view)

Northwest 10 Yr. Olds Are District 5 Runner's Up

The Northwest 10 Yr. Old All-Stars won a birth to the Dizzy Dean State Championships in Cantonment, FL when the took 2nd. place honors here at the District 5 Dizzy Dean Tournaments in Fossil Park.  (Click the photo for a better view)

Pinellas Park 8 Yr. Olds Win District 5 Championship

The Pinellas Park 8 & Under Team won the District 5 Championship by defeating Northwest in the Final Round.   Pinellas Park will travel to Lynn Haven in July to compete in the Dizzy Dean State Championships.  (Click the photo for a better view)

Northwest also won a birth to the 8 & Under Dizzy Dean State Tourney by defeating Wildwood in the semi-final round at Fossil Park.  Northwest was edged out of the top spot by Pinellas park in the championship game.  (Click the photo for a better view)

Northwest 12 Yr. Olds Win District 5 Championship

The Northwest 12 & Under Team won the District 5 Championship by defeating Fossil Park  in the final round.   Northwest will travel to Key West  to compete in the Dizzy Dean State Championships June 24th. - 30th.   (Click the photo for a better view)

The Fossil Park 14 Yr. Old All Stars swept through the District 5 Tournaments without a defeat claiming the District Title.  The All-Stars will travel  north in July to Cantonment,  FL to compete for the Florida State Championships. The Northwest 14 Yr. Old All Stars won a bid to the Florida Dizzy Dean State Tourney when they secured a second seed spot by defeating Seminole here at Fossil Park June 15th.  The Northwest team was later defeated by Fossil Park in the final round.  (Click the photo for a better view)

2005 Fossil Park 10 Yr. Old All-Stars  Get Invitation To Compete In Florida Dizzy Dean State Tournaments

An extremely important and close game of the Fossil Park 10 Yr. Old All Star game vs. Pinellas Park was marred by a controversial call by the plate umpire.  The call went before an appeal committee and the umpire disregarded the ruling of the committee and Fossil Park consequently lost that game 1-0 in the 7th. inning.  As a result Dizzy Dean has invited Fossil Park to compete with Pinellas Park and Northwest, the 1st. and 2nd. place teams, in the 2005 Florida Dizzy Dean 10 & Under State Championships

pic11_12 imageThe 2004 11Yr. Old World Series Champions Tallahassee Will Defend Their Title 

The Defending 11 Yr. Old State Champions from Myers Park in Tallahassee will be defending their title as 12 yr. olds.  Myers Park, behind the pitching of the likes of Bert Givens (shown above-right), defeated Fossil Park in the title game and went on the win the Dizzy Dean 11 Yr. Old Invitational World Series..
